today i woke up rather early - considering i had stayed up so late last night. I took a shower and then recieved a phone call from my cousin to go out for breakfast. Unfortunately, our scheduled trip to the city wasn't going to work out - so i took lead and did the next best thing (took her to the mountains).
upon coming to lake minewaska, we found that all the parking at the top was taken!! - we were forced to park along the bottom and decided that we would make the trek up. Luckily, after i stuck out my thumb as a kind of joke - we were offered a ride to the top - phew.
it was a good time all and all - the day was rather dreary, but i had not yet seen lake minewaska in the autumn and it was bEAUtiful. we ended up taking lots of pictures and getting slightly lost on a strange mountain trail. Amanda seemed to enjoy herself which was good.

i dropped her off and we said our goodbyes until thanksgiving - i came back to my room and passed out, making up for the lack of sleep this morning i'm sure. now i'm glaring at my unmade bed --- it's making me uneasy :) lol i think i'll make it and perhaps go out to dinner?!
